World Vision opens another playground, handwashing facility in Marawi

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)– The World Vision Philippines opened another newly constructed playground and handwashing facility in Hadji Hassan Elementary School (ES) in Barangay Malimono that accommodates pupils from kindergarten to Grade 5.

“We believe in providing safe spaces for children, as a means for psychosocial support for them, especially with this situation. Providing these places actually provides opportunities for the children to play,” said World Vision Project Manager for Marawi Initiatives Adonis Casinillo.

Emphasizing that frequent handwashing is a universal way of preventing diseases, Casinillo also noted the significance of handwashing facilities especially in the fight against the pandemic. He also encourages the children to practice handwashing even at their homes.
