OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–One of the four cops wounded in the attack of the quarantine control point (QCP) in Barangay Putongan, Concepcion in Misamis Occidental died, July 10.

PCpl Marvin Alcala Intong died at around 11:40 am while undergoing treatment at MHARS Medical Center, Ozamiz City.

Intong, 29, a native of Calamba Misamis Occidental, was among the four wounded personnel manning the checkpoint when an undetermined number of armed men believed to be members of the New People’s Army (NPA) launched a surprise tactical offensive maneuver around 7:50 am, July 9.
